1. To arrange for the purchase, marketing and sale of agricultural and other produce belonging to its affiliated societies and their members to their best advantage within the country and outside.
  2. To rent or own godowns, open sales depots, sub-offices and branch offices and appoint Agents within its jurisdiction and elsewhere to facilitate the purchase, storage and sale of agricultural and other produces.
  3. To purchase and distribute fertilizers, seeds, insecticides/pesticides and other agricultural inputs, farm implements including processing machinery and other agricultural and domestic requirements.
  4. To run warehouses.
  5. To undertake processing activities and establish processing units.
  6. To raise funds by loans, grants & other contributions from Govt., Reserve Bank, Kerala State Co-operative Bank, Nationalised Banks, District Co-operative Banks/Service Co-operative Banks/ Marketing Societies and other financing agencies.
  7. To advance loans to affiliated societies against the security of Produce and other goods.
  8. To undertake interstate trade, import and export of Agricultural Produce, farm requirements and consumer goods.
  9. To undertake Grading, Packing and Standardisation of Farm Produce.
  10. To undertake market research and provide market intelligence.
  11. To render technical advice and guidance and to organize consultancy work in related fields.
  12. To arrange transport, shipping, clearing and forwarding of goods.
  13. To act as agent on behalf on Government or any other Institution for production, procurement, supply and distribution of Agricultural and other goods and act as Insurance Agent.
  14. To supervise the working of affiliated societies.
  15. To develop, assist and co-ordinate the activities of affiliated societies.
  16. To act as an exponent of co-operative opinion in matters relating to agricultural marketing and cooperative trade.
  17. Convene periodical conferences and seminars on agricultural marketing and related activities.
  18. Formulate and conduct scheme for training of Business Managers, Graders, Marketing Assistants, etc. for employment in marketing co-operatives.
  19. Encourage self-help, thrift and co-operation among affiliated societies and their members
  20. Guarantee loans advanced to any member society of the Federation by Govt., State Bank of India or any other agency within such limits and on such terms as may be prescribed and charge commission thereon.
  21. Own, obtain on lease or otherwise, land, buildings, fixtures and vehicles and give them on lease or rent.
  22. Invest or deposit funds
    1. In government Savings, Bank; or
    2. In any of the securities specified in section 20 of the Indian Trusts Act. 1882; or
    3. In the shares or securities of any other society approved for the purpose by the Registrar by General or Special Order; or In any bank approved for the purpose by the Registrar; or
    4. In any other manner allowed by the Karala Co op. Societies Act and Rules.
  23. And do such other things as are incidental and conducive to the attainment of the above objects.
